Since the beginning of his professional career, Álvaro has had a vocation for criminal law practice, acting as counsel in some of the most significant and complex criminal cases in Spain. He has extensive experience in white collar crime, labour accidents, tax and subsidy fraud, crimes against public administration, crimes against the environment, crimes of disclosure of business secrets, honour, and more.

He has advised national and foreign companies, directors, employees and public administrations, being ranked as an outstanding lawyer in white collar crime by “Chambers Europe” and “Best Lawyers”.

In addition, he has also been involved in conducting internal investigations processes.

Álvaro is also specialized in AML, advising companies in the financial and fintech sector, real estate, crypto, professional firms, etc.

Before joining SLJ, he worked at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, Andersen and RSM Spain.
